A shot from Dayton's Jerica DeWolfe in the 87th minute separated the Flyers from a 1-1 tie with the Charlotte 49ers in the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship Final to lift Dayton to a 2-1 victory and their sixth A-10 title in program history. The Flyers rallied from a 1-0 deficit with two unanswered goals to defeat the two-time defending A-10 tournament champions, 49ers.

Junior Whitney Weinraub was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. Weinraub, Beam and junior Megan Minnix earned first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors. Senior Lauren Brown and sophomore Oni Bernard earned second-team All-Atlantic 10 honors. Beam, Brown and Minnix were named to the A-10 Academic All-Conference team.

Beam was a second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American last season. Junior defender Megan Minnix earned second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III women's soccer team, selected by CoSIDA.

Whitney Bryant, Whitney Weinraub and Hailey Beam scored goals for the 49ers. Beam's goal was her 36th career goal which tied Courtney Cook's school-record.

The 49ers have been ranked number one in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic region for several weeks. The 49ers are also ranked #24 in the latest TopDrawerSoccer.com poll.
